49ers Re-Sign Offensive Guard Austen Pleasants and Tight End Jake Tonges to One-Year Deals

The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed offensive guard Austen Pleasants and tight end Jake Tonges to one-year exclusive rights contracts, the team announced on April 17, 2025.

Austen Pleasants

Pleasants, 27, joined the 49ers in December 2024 after stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, and Chicago Bears. He played in three games for San Francisco, logging 67 offensive snaps and 14 special teams snaps. The 6-foot-7, 328-pound guard is set to earn a base salary of $960,000 in 2025, with a cap hit of $960,000.

Jake Tonges

Tonges, 25, originally signed with the 49ers' practice squad in September 2023 and was promoted to the active roster in December 2024. He appeared in 16 games last season, contributing 34 offensive snaps and 232 special teams snaps. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end will earn a base salary of $1,030,000 in 2025, with a cap hit of $1,030,000 

Both players will look to contribute to the 49ers' roster in the upcoming season.
