Share
The Green Bay Packers have made several changes to their coaching staff for the 2025 season.
They have hired DeMarcus Covington as the defensive line/run game coordinator, Luke Getsy as a senior assistant, Cory Harkey as the special teams quality control coach, Jeremiah Kolone as an offensive assistant (minority fellowship), Jeff Koonz as a defensive assistant, and Jamael Lett as a defensive quality control coach.
Additionally, the Packers have promoted Sean Duggan to linebackers coach, Sean Mannion to quarterbacks coach, and moved Connor Lewis to pass game specialist/game management.
Covington, now entering his ninth NFL season and first with the Packers, previously spent eight years with the Patriots. He worked in various roles, including coaching assistant, outside linebackers coach, defensive line coach, and defensive coordinator in 2023.
Getsy returns to Green Bay in a coaching role after serving as a consultant for part of the previous season. He originally worked with the Packers as an offensive quality control coach (2014-15), wide receivers coach (2016-17), and quarterbacks coach (2019-21), later adding the title of passing game coordinator (2020-21). Getsy also served as offensive coordinator for Mississippi State (2018), the Bears (2022-23), and the Raiders (2024).
Harkey joins the Packers after serving as assistant special teams coach for the Bills over the past three years.
Kolone, who recently worked as an offensive analyst at the University of Central Florida (2025) and offensive graduate assistant at the University of Arizona (2024), now joins the Packers.
Koonz brings a wealth of experience, having served as West Virginia's special teams coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the past five seasons (2020-24) and later as the defensive coordinator for the final portion of the 2024 season.
Lett comes to Green Bay after spending last season as a defensive coaching assistant with the Patriots and previously working as a special teams analyst at the University of North Carolina (2023) and special teams coordinator/defensive assistant at South Alabama (2021-22).
Duggan, who worked as a defensive assistant with the Packers last season, previously spent four years at Boston College, where he coached linebackers (2020-22) and co-coordinated the defense (2023).
Mannion has earned a promotion after serving as an offensive assistant for the Packers last year.
