The 2025 Nike Hoops Summit Hits Portland: What You Need to Know

This weekend, Portland becomes the epicenter of high school basketball as the Nike Hoops Summit returns to the Moda Center, uniting the top senior talent from around the world for one of the most prestigious events in the sport.

Here’s everything you need to know about the event — from the format and rosters to how to tune in.

What is the Nike Hoops Summit?

The Nike Hoops Summit is a high-profile, week-long showcase featuring the top high school seniors from the United States and around the world in a USA vs. World matchup. The annual event is hosted in Portland, Oregon, and co-produced by Nike, USA Basketball, and Primetime Sports.

On the men’s side, it’s Team USA’s Junior National Team squaring off against a handpicked group of international prospects. On the women’s side, the best in the U.S. take on the most elite global competitors in a rising tradition that’s gaining momentum each year.

The Summit has served as a launching pad for some of basketball’s biggest stars — including current MVP frontrunners Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Over the years, 94 top-10 NBA picks and 16 No. 1 overall picks have taken the court here, including legends like Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki.

Women’s basketball stars like JuJu Watkins (USC) and Madison Booker (Texas), the 2025 SEC Player of the Year, are also among the Summit’s growing list of elite alumni.
