The Raiders surprised some by selecting Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty with the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — a rare move in today’s RB-devalued league. But Jeanty isn’t your average back. He rushed for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns last season, nearly breaking Barry Sanders' FBS record, and finished second in the Heisman voting behind Travis Hunter.
Despite playing in the Mountain West, Jeanty’s power, balance, and big-play ability made him the consensus top RB in the class. He joins tight end Brock Bowers to form an exciting young duo in Vegas.
